PASSPORT SERVICES

WORKING HOURS :

• 0900 hrs to 1200 hrs (Monday to Friday except on holidays)
• Queue numbers for submission of Applications for Passport/Consular Services are issued from 0900 hrs to 1200 hrs. All those who have collected a number by 1200 hrs are attended to.
• Delivery of passport and consular documents: 1500 hrs to 1630 hrs.

WHO CAN APPLY ?

• All Indian nationals resident in Thailand.
• Indian nationals not resident in Thailand can apply only in case of emergencies.

TO APPLY, PLEASE SUBMIT :

  • Completed Passport application form. EAP-I, for New Passport service, EAP-II, for miscellaneous services. Application forms are made available free of cost by the Indian Embassy. This can also be downloaded from the website. (Please fill up all the columns legibly and sign using blue / black ball point pen only)
  • Four recent colour photographs. (Size 1" or 2")
  • Photocopy of passport (s)
  • Fee as applicable (See table along side)
  • Please submit photocopy of Work Permit / Residence Certificate along with the application as proof of residence.
  • Photocopy of Passport/ Election Commission Card / PAN Card / Ration Card/ Letter from the Employer in case of Duplicate Passport / Emergency Certificate.

NORMAL PROCESSING TIME :

New Passport

If previous passport was issued from Bangkok 4 working days
If previous passport was issued from a passport issuing authority in India or abroad. 5 weeks

Additional Booklet

(Fresh Booklet with 10 years validity) 4 working days

Duplicate passport
Against passport issued from Bangkok 4 working days
Against passport issued from a passport issuing authority in India or abroad.  5 weeks

Renewal of passport

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS :

  • Your passport is a valuable document. It should always be either in your own custody or in the custody of a person duly authorized by you. If lost or destroyed, the fact and circumstances should be immediately reported to the nearest Indian Mission and to the local police.
  • It is an offence under the Passport Act, 1967 to give false information in the application. Passport facilities can be denied on grounds of suppression of factual information, submission of false particulars, willful damage of passport and for making unauthorized changes in the passport.
  • A passport should not be sent out of any country by post.
  • For travel abroad, minimum validity of the passport should be 6 months.
  • While collecting passports/documents, applicants are requested to satisfy themselves that the service applied for is rendered correctly.

NOTE

A full validity passport for 10 years would be issued in cases of change in appearance, name, date of birth, place of birth, signature or when pages are exhausted subject to the production of required documents and payment of prescribed fees.
